In 1994 Chevy reintroduced the Impala SS. This car is based on the 9C-1 police package. The Impala SS package includes: 350cid LT-1 from the corvette (260 hp in the Impala SS),special transmission, 2in lowered suspension, special shocks, low restriction dual exhaust, 3:08 posi rear differencial, silver leather interior, bucket seats, floor mounted shifter(1996 only), in dash tach(1996 only), rear spoiler, body colored bumpers and grill,17x8.5 mag wheels, b.f. goodrich Z-rated tires, and special badging. The Impala SS was produced from 1994-1996. It was available in three colors:Black, Dark Cherry Metallic, and Dark Green Grey Metallic. The only major changes during the three year production run was in 1995, when there was the addition of two new colors: Dark Cherry Metallic and Green Grey. Then in 1996 the car recieved analog gauges,in dash tach, and floor mounted shifter.

1996 Impala SS This is my 1996 Chevy Impala SS. It has 13,000 origional miles on it. The color is "dark cherry metallic" I am the second owner. The car was ordered with all the factory options.

Ramit This is one of the modifications performed on the car for now. Its a Ram Air system that gets air from under the front bumper. The system consists of a special elbow off of the throttle body, then it goes into a canister that holds a high performance air filter, then out under the bumper to a scoop (measuring 9in x 2in). The system is good for 30hp at the rear wheels.
